At Creetown bond, we wanted to pay homage to wonders on our doorstep. We visited local caves at coastal Carsluith, which were once rife with smugglers handling whisky, rum, salt and tobacco. This product is all above board, accounted for and duty paid but we thought it was fun anyway!
 
Batch release 25 is an  12 year old peated whisky distilled at Bunnahabhain Distillery, specially selected by Martin Armstrong. Originally distilled on 16/10/2013 into a hogshead and later re-racked into a bourbon barrel. 
 
Colour: light straw
Nose: intense smoke
Taste: smooth smoke with a lingering gentle fruitiness
