HMRC approved Warehousing
We can help you get your cask to our warehouse for safe and secure storage.
Our extensive site currently stores over 45,000 casks within 9 HMRC approved Under Bond Warehouses totalling around 10000m2 in Creetown, Southwest Scotland.
We offer storage to private owners and companies in the industry, as well as storing our own stock.
Our bespoke racking system allows fast access to any cask, should you require work to be done with your cask.
We can re-gauge your cask, draw samples or transfer the whisky into a different cask upon request.
Should you wish to move casks to us, please enquire at info@whiskybroker.co.uk and we should be able to help you.
Racked Storage

Most of our warehouses have purpose built steel racks with walkways allowing access. This is by far our preferred and most recommended method of storage. You might lose 2.5-3% per year in evaporation (the Angel's Share).
Palletised Storage

If you're a distiller or a big producer, this is a great method of storage - you get double in the space for about half the cost. Unfortunately it comes with higher losses due to leakage and evaporation (combined it might be between 6% and 8% per year in our experience), so it's not good if you're a private owner who only owns one cask.
IBC Storage

We can store a few hundred IBCs (intermediate bulk containers, generally 1000 litres) and more plastic containers of various sizes (5 litre-200 litres). Generally this is just until casks arrive, but if you've got your own requirements please let us know.
Dry Goods Storage

Sometimes you can't get a bottle or box type you want without ordering quite a large amount of stock. We've got a large separate building just for storing these pallets, so we should be able to help you.
Empty Cask Storage

This isn't something we recommend doing, as casks have quite a short window of time where they can be stored when empty. New casks should be ordered when needed and used as quickly as possible. Used casks should generally be used again within 6 months of emptying or sooner in hot weather as they'll dry out and become leaky.
Bottled Stock Storage

We can store your bottled stock, combine it with other stock for shipping, re-bottle it, re-label it or generally do most things you might want done with it.
