Our latest batch of the Smuggler's Cut bottlings available from 25/11/2025. Limited number of bottles.
At Creetown bond, we wanted to pay homage to wonders on our doorstep. We visited local caves at coastal Carsluith, which were once rife with smugglers handling whisky, rum, salt and tabacco. This product is all above board, accounted for and duty paid but we thought it was fun anyway!
Here we have a small batch release of only 83 bottles (we bottled this whole cask). Batch release 14 is a 16 year old Inchgower, specially selected by Martin Armstrong. Originallly distilled on 23/03/2009 into a hogshead, later filled into a first fill PX quarter cask. We found this to have an initial citrus taste, with hints of apple and caramel.

I know Whiskybroker Ltd very well as I have casks stored there, they are genuine and honest people.
The 16year old Inchgower was at 'cask strength' so it needed water, that goes without saying, how much water will affect the palatability & taste.
I am yet to get fully into peated whiskies although, I do have other smoked whiskies in my collection so I am not totally averse.
It's a 5* quality whisky and moreish when you get into it.
The price was super-competitive
