The last remains of what was our Christmas 2025 bottling...
140 bottles in total as we bottled this whole sherry octave.
Martin has cherry picked this as his favourite (although the other eight were high contenders...that's why he bottled them).
Smuggler's Cut Batch 18 is a 5 year old unpeated Lingdarroch (single malt from a Lowland distillery). Originallly distilled in the lonely times of the Covid lockdown on 30/06/2020 into a sherry octave. As we passed this around the office, the general consensus was deep notes of toffee. Martin says "add water to open out".

Whiskybroker Ltd are a good and reliable as a company (I know them well)
This rather young Lingdarroch whisky has intense almond and dried fruit, on the nose & the after flavours.
it's cask strength so needs a lot of water (for me) but, the softer sherry flavours are all there!
It was a low price but surprisingly good.
I'm no whisky expert but this, with water (for me) is very moreish!
This whiskey, is a seasonal delight.
Rich and tasty with a with a toffee taste delight.
Then had to put it away..
Roll on Christmas,
Thank You Whisky Brokers.
Merry Christmas to you all ⛄
Just a tad too much sherry for me. Other than that it’s decent enough.
