At Creetown bond, we wanted to pay homage to wonders on our doorstep. Recently, we visited local caves at coastal Carsluith, which were once rife with smugglers handling whisky, rum, salt and tabacco. This product is all above board, accounted for and duty paid but we thought it was fun anyway!
 
Here we have a small batch release of only 60 bottles. Batch release 2 is a 10 year old Benrinnes, specially selected by Martin Armstrong. Originallly distilled on 15/09/2014 into a bourbon hogshead. Re-racked 15/12/2021 into a first fill oloroso barrique. Martin noted at the re-rack this was not as pronounced, great colour but still a bit "spirity".
